The music of France's most famous songstress Edith Piaf comes to life Sunday, June 16 at Harbor East restaurant Pazo. Classical singer Alexis Tantau will pay tribute to Piaf, known best for "La Vie en Rose" and "Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien." (Her life story was the subject of a 2007 Oscar-winning movie.) James Harp will accompany Tantau on the piano. The evening includes a three-course dinner at the Harbor East restaurant. 

Tantau has studied at the University of Southern California,  the Maryland Opera Studio, the International Vocal Academy in Croatia and the Franco American Vocal Academy in Perigord, France. She recently spent a year in Montpellier, France to study Occitan, an endangered romance language spoken in parts of France, Italy and Spain.

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support the educational programs benefiting school children at the Patricia & Arthur Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric Opera House.
