Slideshow: Remote-Control Airplane Pilots Reach for the Sky

It would be understandable if some drove home with a sore neck after visiting the recent Ron Konkus Memorial Fly-In and Family Fun Weekend, Sept. 29-30. The display of model airplanes took place at the Southwest Area Park in Baltimore Highlands. 

It was hard to keep one's eyes off the flips, rolls, climbs and dives performed by the remote-controlled model airplane club's members. And if it looked easy, novices had a chance to give it a try, too.

A blue sky and puffy white clouds provided the perfect backdrop for BmoreMedia Managing Photographer Steve Ruark to capture the aerial action organized by the Southwest Area Park Modelers.
